Open Rewards provides a rewards platform enabling cities to influence local spending in real time. Within a few years of launch, the platform has expanded to 100+ cities, generating substantial economic impacts and consistently delivering over 24X ROI.

We are funded by notable pre-seed and seed stage investors including the Alchemist Accelerator, Govtech Fund, and Stanford Impact Fund.

About the Role

We’re looking for a mobile engineer to join our development team and help us deliver a top notch mobile experience.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, growth, and engineering, owning features end-to-end. Your work will not only create a superb product that integrates into consumers’ daily lives, but have a profound impact in their local commerce and how local businesses thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship mobile features end-to-end

• Work closely with the leadership team to turn ideas into features quickly

• Identify and fix friction in the user experience

• Own projects from concept → launch → iteration

• Contribute to product decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Experience building consumer-facing mobile apps

• Deep understanding of consumer-facing applications and user experience (UX polish, quick rendering, responsiveness, and reliability)

• Care deeply about user experience and product quality

• Fundamental knowledge of AI concepts, with a willingness to learn and adopt advanced AI tooling

• A proven ability to be organized, methodical, and deliver projects with exceptional follow-through.

• Move quickly and are comfortable with ambiguity

• Take ownership and ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

This is a full-time, salaried, remote position. You will work directly with our Engineering Manager and Founders.
