Cities are the biggest marketplace in the world, powering billions of dollars of transactions every day. Yet, this marketplace has only a fraction of the fintech tools that digital marketplaces use to grow commerce, from rewards and subscriptions to wallets and cards. And for the millions of small locally owned businesses, this gap is bigger now than ever.

We are building the fintech layer to power this marketplace, and in doing that, empower all local businesses at scale.

Hi there! Thank you for checking out Open Rewards.

In 2019 we spent a year inside a local city hall alongside their economic development team (which at the time had only one and a half full time staff). Our "headquarter" was a cubicle with our name printed on an A4 paper.

Since then, we have brought to market several Economic Development products now used by hundreds of cities and counties. Open Rewards is the latest of them all. We have no doubt that this is where we can create the biggest impact - if we help you help the local businesses and local community thrive, we all get a better place to live!

The platform you see today is a combination of our vision plus the input, feedback, and iteration from all of our cities, business owners, and local shoppers. And it will only continue to get better. Together we will elevate local economic development and show the world what small-mid sized cities and counties can do.
