Open Rewards provides a rewards platform enabling cities to influence local spending in real time. Within a few years of launch, the platform has expanded to 100+ cities, generating substantial economic impacts and consistently delivering over 24X ROI.

We are funded by notable pre-seed and seed stage investors including the Alchemist Accelerator, Govtech Fund, and Stanford Impact Fund.

About the Role

We’re looking for a software engineer with experience in Fintech to join our development team and help us deliver the next generation fintech products for our users.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, growth, and engineering, owning features end-to-end. Your work will not only create a superb product that integrates into consumers’ daily lives, but have a profound impact in their local commerce and how local businesses thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship Fintech features, involving card, wallet, accounts, ledger, and money movement.

• Work closely with the leadership team to turn ideas into features quickly

• Identify and fix friction in the user experience

• Own projects from concept → launch → iteration

• Contribute to product decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Experience building Fintech products

• Deep understanding of the Fintech infrastructure and architecture

• Care deeply about user experience and product quality

• Fundamental knowledge of AI concepts, with a willingness to learn and adopt advanced AI tooling

• A proven ability to be organized, methodical, and deliver projects with exceptional follow-through.

• Move quickly and are comfortable with ambiguity

• Take ownership and ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

This is a full-time, salaried, remote position. You will work directly with our Engineering Manager and Founders.
